2018 Winter-Spring Workshops at Woodland Gardens
Make It & Take It Easter Basket – Thursday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 24 at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
Plant an Easter basket with our design experts at Woodland Gardens. We will have a selection of Easter baskets as well as Easter plants, Easter grass and pansies to choose from, plus little accessories if you want them. The cost will be around $25, based on the basket and plants you choose. This is a really lovely workshop to take with a child. Preregistration required. Make It & Take It Living Pansy Wreath – Saturday, April 7 at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Create a lush, colorful living wreath by planting a 12-inch wire frame with your choice of our gorgeous pansies or violas.. Once planted, your wreath can be used inside or out, flat on a table or hanging on a door or fence, and will continue to bloom for months if regularly watered. In the summer, you can easily replace the pansies with summer annuals. The cost is $26, which covers all supplies. Preregistration required. Make It & Take It Summer Container Garden - Thursday, April 26 at 4:30 and 6 p.m.
Bring any favorite container(s) to plant for your doorstep, patio, deck, etc. Just be sure to plan ahead if your container is for a hot sunny spot or a cool shady spot, so you can make the appropriate plant choices. We’ll give you suggestions and planting tips – if you want them. The cost is determined by what you choose to plant, plus potting soil. Preregistration is required. Opening the Rose Garden – Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, at 9:30 a.m.
Master Rosarian Marci Martin will explain and demonstrate all the spring maintenance your roses need at this time of year (such as spring pruning). If you’ve got rose questions, she’ll answer them. There is no one more knowledgeable about growing roses than Marci, so if you grow roses or want to, you absolutely don’t want to miss this free program! No registration needed.
